Anietie is an artist from London. He graduated with an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale School of Art in 2025 and a BA in History of Art from The University of Oxford in 2018.
He is primarily concerned with the affective and embodied experience of heritages and spiritualities that precede and define his identity. Through painting, printmaking, video and performance, he attempts to transform intangible feelings of time, space and emotion into physical, material spaces.
Anietie views art and archive in equal measure, pursuing the range of human life across a pictorial geography. He finds memory and process to be sources for production, where representations of Blackness are ongoing and infinite.
